About Amy…
Amy Berta’s fascination with the natural world and the creatures within it began at a young age, as young as she can even remember. She has always viewed the world from many perspectives, equally “right brained” as she was “left,” and enjoyed contemplating scientific study whilst also practicing artistic creativity. She was bestowed three awards of excellence for her work at the PWCS All county arts festival, including pieces that touched on the relationship between humans and the environment. Amy attended Sweet Briar College where she double majored in both Biology and Studio Art, indicative of her love for both scientific study and artmaking. She was featured in the Passion Fruit senior exhibition on campus, with numerous paintings included in her portfolio. Her intense passions continue throughout her life as she engages with conservation work via photography, ecological work in her current career search, and artistic work with portrait commissions for her personal business. She solely funds the care of her best friend and rescue horse Delta, and takes pride in competing with her beautiful steed! She continues her studies, hoping to one day make positive change for all the endangered creatures that fill her sketchbook.
